      Now permanently delete the potplayer folder
      Restart need, now install again

    Hi,
    I updated with the new version Daum PotPlayer 1.7.4353 for 64-bit Windows on a windows 10 system and now I’m not able to run any file from my seedbox. After the opening phase of the file, I get a blocked black screen.
    I reinstalled the program and the codec several times but nothing change…
    I used this program for at least two years and I never had any problem.
    Could please help me to solve my issue.

      Pls..after uninstall,delete the folder from system resources… Windows/system 32(64) now permanently delete pot player folder .now restart ur PC and try to install again

    Windows 10 Pro 1709 (OS Build 16299.125) 64-bit with latest 64-bit version of Potplayer.
    Why am I NEVER unable to select Daum Potplayer as my default video player — Daum is NEVER listed in the possible selections.
    This problem with Potplayer has been installing with the same results for previous builds of Windows 10 as well.

    If possible do option not convert color: auto, I choose, use as decoder or nothing convert. dvix h264 decoder use color YUV12, XVID use YUV2, auto in player use anather color for divx 8_02_00_00026 (convert).

    Does anyone play video have this issue.
    PotPlayer is extremely slow to open video files. Every time I open a video file, by double-clicking in explorer or selecting it in the PotPlayer play list, the title bar changes to “Opening…” and the wait cursor runs for about 5 to 10 seconds before the file starts playing.

    but i use other player no such issue.

    anyone encounter this as well or only me.

      actually, I’ve not much to say but just like what I said when you watching a long video, for example, a movie, after about 15 minutes the sound move slower than the image.
      I didn’t have this problem before Version 1.7.13963, and when I installed an old version it’s work rightly again.

    Repro Steps:
    1. Install the application with all default options.
    2. Launch the application.
    3. Work with the application for 2-3 mins.
    4. Open notifications bar present at the right bottom corner.
    5. Observe.

    Actual Results:
    App default setting notifications are popped up and are seen in notifications bar.

    Expected Results:
    No such notifications should pop up while working with the application.

    I love PotPlayer. It is the best media player I use and the most versatile. I have one big problem, however, and I’ve tried searching for others with same issue but no one discusses it.

    The online ‘google translate’ subtitle function used to work fine. I used it to translate English to Dutch while I am watching. This is fantastic because you can’t always find Dutch translations on the subtitles websites. But now for some reason it translates for about five minutes and then it stops. I’ve set the source language as English and the translation language as Dutch. I’ve set it to always translate. Now, the only online reference I could find is that in a recent update it said “online subtitle translation” would not ‘browse slowly’ in the new version. So I thought maybe if I limit the bandwidth of other programmes it Google translate would keep translating. I prevented all processes except for PotPlayer but this didn’t work. Then I tried to check the ‘google translate’ option clicking on the ‘test’, open file, reload application and login. It said the login was successful. The test button didn’t work and I’m not sure what this was testing. Does anyone know why this is happening? What I don’t understand is that it begins translating but only does it for a couple of minutes. Then even if both subtitles are shown one above the other, they are both in English. It would make more sense if it didn’t work at all. And I can’t make head nor tails of google flash file because I don’t really understand how the translation function works. Anyone have the same problem? Thanks on the beforehand. I’ve actually given up looking for an answer on the internet.

    I’ve seen at least a (so-called) 2017 Android APK version listed for download online, but I don’t know whether it is official, or even real & safe ? An Android version is desperately needed, as I don’t think there is any other way to play HEVC | X265 video files on standalone Android streaming boxes. That is to say, on those boxes that would otherwise be hardware-capable of such playback.

    The latest update pushes the installation of a third-party program (McAfee Web Advisor or a VPN). It’s impossible not to install it : the “decline” button is a simple “previous” and blocks the installation, and even if you don’t click the check box that you accept the software operating policy, the installation is done.

    One, I think it’s illegal in France to force the installation of a third-party program. But I’m not sure and won’t insist on this point.

    Two, I was an avid defender and user of potplayer but if the next update still contains a forced installation, I will stop using it.

        Same here. An upgrade is offered but you cannot install if you press the Decline button, it simply takes you back to the previous screen. Its forcing an install of Avast. No way. I’d rather use Windows Media Player. Bye.

    I’m using Potplayer for a couple of years now and am very happy with it.
    At the moment it is for me impossible to update to the latest version.
    When starting Potplayer I agree to update, but the installer never completes its task.
    Tried a manual install by downloading the latest version from this site, but that won’t work as well.

    Still using Windows7, because only under W7 my analog to digital video converter is working.

    Any hints/help?

    It’s convoluted, but to install PotPlayer without McAfee clear the “Accept” checkbox (on the dialog page that related to McAfee) and click the Accept button. On the next dialog you can hit the Back key and then cycle forward and confirm that McAfee won’t be installed.

    I downloaded the 64bit version and the visual effect is excellent. However, there is a problem facing.

    The subtitle of the movie failed to show up, including those that are embedded in the movie. Movies downloaded with SRT file also failed to have subtitle activated both automatically or manually.

    I also tried several times to use the “Resent activation email” option, but to no avail.

    6-years ago, I used a player that’s older version have an option for Drag Screen Frame; but in next versions it gives nothing for this function. i.e. the function have the +&- button to larger&smaller the viewed animated pics(video). So I can exclude that unwanted black or blank pane(freeze) of image shows. Remember, some videos have no fit screen that can wrapping the shows. While its newer versions have not this option and I will choose Pot-Player is better than it, because all option is found in pot-player and exact supportable for my an older device. So I request my feedback is to here – please, give us this option in next updated version(and send me email). If you says, this option is already exist here – kindly explain. i.g.       Same here: clicking Decline or Accept both do nothing and the only option is to Cancel.

      I even tried uninstalling Potplayer and it still doesn’t work.

      Had to downgrade and go back to 200317.

      They did this same thing and I think they will fix it in a future update.

      So best set it to update weekly and just use the old version for now!

    great player. i ve used bsplayer, and no other player, since like 2007, then switched to this last year and can say it’s a great piece of software. advice – keep adding features and it will be a real alternative to vlc (which i dont use anyway).

    a great addition would be visual diagrams for the audio channel(s) (like both amplitude vs time and frequency vs time). it would greatly speed up the process of seeking particular fragments of audio inside a vid.
